Golf at ThorpenessYour guests can book a tee time via our Pro Shop and play one of the finest coastal golf courses in the UK. We do ask that one member of the group has a handicap certificate or is a current member of a golf club. A 20% discount is available to your guests all year round.
TennisWe have tennis courts at Thorpeness Country Club adjacent to the beach. Your guests are welcome to use them. There are no charges with the exception of July and August when the Tennis Club is open. During these two months temporary weekly membership is available entitling guests to play, enter competitions, and enjoy the various summer events for all ages.
Thorpeness Hotel also offers cycle and rowing boat hire.
The services that we offer includes-AdministrationOur experienced reception team handle enquiries and bookings made by telephone or from our website.
They send out booking forms, take deposits, and ensure that final balances are paid a month in advance of arrival. Our staff are very knowledgeable about each unit and the local area.

Administration of other websites where our units appear.
We recommend that units are Tourist Board rated to maximise bookings. We will arrange all inspections and give you feedback and recommendations annually.
Owners receive a monthly report of forward bookings.
Owners receive quarterly payments by cheque. Cleaning charges and any other authorised expenses are deducted before payment and a full invoice is supplied.
Cleaning ServiceUnits are cleaned and checked for incoming guests.
Clean bed linen is provided and beds are made up. Clean towels and bath mats are provided for each guest.
Enough soap and toilet rolls are provided for the first nights stay.
The service includes the cost of labour.
The cost of servicing is agreed by the owners and the company depending on the size of unit.
Many of our current clients like to have a twice yearly in depth clean, or organise carpet cleaning. We are happy to coordinate this for an extra charge.
Maintenance ServiceSmall maintenance problems such as a leaky tap, a broken drawer or resealing a bath, can be dealt with by our own team for an hourly charge.
For other larger maintenance such as plumbing, electrics or gas, we have contacts locally on emergency callout. Any costs incurred can be paid direct by the owner, or have the invoice added to your quarterly account.
A garden maintenance service is available on request, for an hourly charge.
What we need from youBefore we can rent out your unit we will need a full description and floor plan of your home.
Your home should be rated officially by the East Anglian Tourist Board to a minimum of a 3 star standard, and preferably 4 star. This can be arranged by the admin team who also have information on the minimum requirements.
The safety of your guests is a priority. To comply with legislation we require a risk assessment and an access statement, a current PAT Test Certificate for electrical appliances, and if applicable a Gas or Oil Safety Certificate. Gas and electrical appliance must be tested annually, copies of which will be displayed in your home.
All furniture must comply with Fire Regulations and the correct number of fire extinguishers, blankets and smoke detectors must be provided. The admin team can advise on local qualified engineers and suppliers.
A formal tenancy agreement is mandatory and is signed by both parties.
There is a start up fee to cover the administration to add your home to our booking system. This also covers the cost of photography and adding your information to our websites and inclusion in brochures.
You will need to inform us of dates that your home will be available for rental. This can be updated by you at any time, by letter or email.
